Cinnamon Shore community map
Cinnamon Shore is a master-planned beachfront community on Mustang Island, divided into North Shore (the original phase) and South Shore (newer expansion). Here's how the village, the pools, the boardwalks, and the rental homes sit relative to each other — and how long it actually takes to walk from your front door to the sand.
Most first-time guests arrive without a clear mental map of Cinnamon Shore — which part of the community their rental is in, where the village sits, where the closest pool is, and which boardwalk leads to the Gulf. This page gives you the layout in words, so you can plan walks before you arrive.
North Shore — the original village
North Shore is the original Cinnamon Shore phase, anchored by The Boutiques at Cinnamon Shore (the village) and the North Pool. This is where the iconic Town Center, the lawn, the outdoor stage, and the pavilion sit. Restaurants (Lisabella's, Coastline Grill, Dylan's Pizzeria), the coffee shop (Shore Cafe), the ice cream stop, and the boutique shops are all clustered here.
Most North Shore homes are within a 2–6 minute walk of either the Gulf or the village — many are within walking distance of both. Beached Inn sits within North Shore with a 2-minute boardwalk walk to the sand and a 5-minute walk to the village.
South Shore — the newer expansion
South Shore is the southern expansion of Cinnamon Shore, added later. It has its own pool (the South Pool), its own pond, and its own beach boardwalks. The newer construction means more contemporary architecture and larger lot sizes for some of the bigger estate homes. South Shore is a 5–10 minute walk (or 2-minute golf-cart roll) from the original village.
If you're staying in South Shore, you've got the choice of walking down to the village for dinner or staying close to the South Pool and the closer beach access. Both work.
Beach access — boardwalks, not stairs
Cinnamon Shore's beach access is via wooden boardwalks that cross the dunes — there are no soft-sand stair climbs, which matters for strollers, beach wagons, and anyone with mobility considerations. Each boardwalk lands on a wide stretch of Mustang Island Gulf beach. Boardwalks are spaced along the community so most homes are within a few minutes' walk of one.
Pools — and which is closest to your home
The North Pool is the original beachfront pool, near the village. The South Pool is the newer expansion pool serving South Shore. Some larger Cinnamon Shore homes have their own private pools or shared pool clusters with neighboring homes; ask your property manager which pools your rental has access to.
All community pools are seasonal — typically open year-round but heated more aggressively in shoulder season. Beached Inn's nearest pool is the North Pool (a short walk).
Getting around — feet, golf carts, and short drives
Most of Cinnamon Shore is walkable end-to-end. Streets are flat, sidewalks are continuous, and the longest walk you'd realistically take inside the community is about 15 minutes (one corner of South Shore to the far edge of the village). Golf carts (street-legal LSVs) are popular for families who want to roll the kids to dinner with sandy feet.
For trips outside the gates — Mustang Island State Park, the UT Marine Science Institute, the marina, the ferry — you'll want a car. The community is about 10 minutes from the heart of Port Aransas town.
Where Beached Inn sits
Beached Inn is inside Cinnamon Shore, in walking distance of both the village and the Gulf — about 2 minutes to the boardwalk over to the beach, and about 5 minutes to The Boutiques. Three stories with an elevator, three bedrooms, sleeps 10. See the home tour on the home page.
Frequently asked questions
Where is Cinnamon Shore on a map?
Cinnamon Shore is on Mustang Island in Port Aransas, Texas, about 10 minutes south of the Port Aransas ferry and the marina, fronting the Gulf of Mexico. From Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP), it's about 35–45 minutes via the JFK Causeway and TX-361 north up Mustang Island.
What's the difference between North Shore and South Shore at Cinnamon Shore?
North Shore is the original phase — it includes the village (The Boutiques), the Town Center, and the North Pool. South Shore is the newer southern expansion with its own pool, pond, and beach access. North Shore is more centrally located near restaurants and shops; South Shore tends to have larger homes and is a 5–10 minute walk south.
How long is the walk from a Cinnamon Shore home to the beach?
Typically 2–8 minutes via boardwalk depending on which row your home is on. The boardwalks cross the dunes (no soft-sand stair climbs), which matters for beach wagons, strollers, and mobility. Beached Inn is about a 2-minute walk to the closest boardwalk.
How many pools does Cinnamon Shore have?
The community has multiple pools — the North Pool (the original beachfront pool near the village), the South Pool (in the South Shore expansion), and various private and shared pools at individual homes. Ask your property manager which pools your rental has access to.

Very. Streets are flat, sidewalks are continuous, and most of the community is reachable on foot in 15 minutes or less. Restaurants, coffee, ice cream, shops, the pool, and the beach are all walkable from most rental homes. Golf carts are popular but not necessary for in-community trips.
